Win 7 - IE 8 Bug fix

Hi,

Few updates are now available for Internet Explorer 8 running under Windows 7 RC1 of which I was facing since long time.

- You receive an error message in Internet Explorer 8 on a computer that is running Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC): “A webpage is not responding”

You can either use the built-in Windows Update or manually download then install KB970858 for Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100.

Regards,

Bhavik.

I have had that issue a few times. Hope the update helps Smile

The one (and only? Tong) thing I actually IE8 is its representation on the superbar on Win7 ;) The ability to hover over the IE8 icon and go to which ever tab I want directly rather than having to restore/maximize IE8 before selecting the tab is the win Smile

I wonder how long until the other browsers (Fx, Opera and Chrome) do the same. All this assuming Microsoft releases documentation on how to handle the new preview icons which I believe are generated by DWM (Desktop Window Management). iirc, they took a long while or never actually fully released documentation of how to generate custom thumbs in Flip 3D. I know of a software (Messenger Plus! Live) whose developer really had issues with this and pressed Microsoft for an update. The fact that the software still doesn't have what he wanted seems to suggest that may be he never got the update..
Just saying.. Tong
